Cycling to support the Saints Foundation

My Story

It is very much the Gateway ethos to empower people to fulfil their potential.

We know that mainstream education isn't for everyone - for a variety of reasons.  Programmes like the Engage programme help young people develop confidence, build self esteem and develop the tools they need to break down the barriers they are facing and tackle life’s challenges, enabling them to realise they can achieve whatever they set their minds to.

93% of young people who have engaged with the Saints Foundation programmes move onto positive placements in education, training or employment - we want to help them be able to continue to have this positive impact on many more young people's lives.

In June I aim to cycle 984 miles from Lands End to John O'Groats, passing through Clevedon, Chester, Penrith, Pitlochry and Aviemore, reaching ascents of 1700 metres - suprisingly in Cornwall rather than Scotland.
